STUDIO PRODUCTIONLESSONS FOR
ALL SKILL LEVELS
The Studio Production Program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary for employment in the audio and recording industry. You will get firsthand experience in the many different aspects of audio recording and engineering while learning in a professional environment. The facility provides both digital and analog recording equipment that can be found in many professional studios around the world. Working with modem Digital Audio Workstations, you will learn about the functionality of microphones, speakers acoustics, and troubleshooting, and how to integrate such skills in hands-on live and studio recording, editing, and mixing. You will also learn the role of the producer, music theory, songwriting, and a survey of the music business, including the publishing and copyrighting of music. The coursework provides an effective combination of in-class lectures as well as live, hands-on training in the recording studio, bringing real-world experience to the classroom.
STUDIO PRODUCTION LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
School of Rock offers simple yet effective drum lessons for beginners that bypass entry-level pad training. Students get behind a drum kit during their first lesson to start learning how to play the drums. Through private drum lessons, group rehearsals, and live performances, students will learn introductory rudiments to drum fills and solos. School of Rock has been teaching drum lessons to kids and adults for decades and we have given more drummers a start in the business than any other music program in the world. Our core philosophy is that the best way for students to gain musical proficiency is through the patented School of Rock Method and performance-based music education. All of our programs (even the beginner drum programs for kids like Rookies and Rock 101) include a performance aspect.
INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED STUDIO PRODUCTION LESSONS
When a student progresses beyond beginner drum lessons, they will move to School of Rock's intermediate to advanced drum lessons programs (Performance, House Band, and AllStars), putting them on the path to mastery. During weekly private lessons and group rehearsals, our expert drum teachers guide students through advanced drumming techniques and training methods aimed at making them more skilled drummers. Advanced intermediary grooves, shifts and meters are taught and drilled until perfected. Drummers will ultimately be placed in bands and perform in live shows at the end of each session.
TAKE DRUM LESSONS ONLINE AND IN-SCHOOL
At The School of Music, the health and safety of our students is our top priority. We’re offering online music lessons in addition to in-person socially-distanced classes. Students choosing to take drum lessons online are taught using the same famous, patented curriculum we use in our schools—The School of Music Method™. This approach couples in-person or online drum lessons with our proprietary Method App™, SongFirst Approach™ and Method Books™.

It's never too early to start playing music. School of Rock offers a proven method for teaching even the youngest students musical proficiency in our Little Wing program. These beginner lessons are geared toward teaching preschoolers to play the drums and other instruments through hand percussion and tools that spark the imagination.
For decades School of Rock has been the world's leading program for kid's drum lessons. Through private drum lessons and group rehearsals, children learn to play the drums and eventually perform the songs they love in a fun, supportive and comfortable atmosphere. Based on a student's age and skill level, drum lessons for kids are part of every School of Rock music program including Rookies, Rock 101, Performance, House Band, AllStars, and Online Music Lessons.
Learning to play drums offers teenagers a creative outlet and at School of Rock we make it entertaining, fast and rewarding. In our innovative programs, students learn to play the drums through private lessons, group rehearsals, and live band performances while playing popular rock 'n' roll classics and modern hits. All teens are enrolled in or audition for one of the following programs: Rock 101, Performance, House Band, and AllStars.
We make learning how to play the drums for adults as effective and fun as our programs for kids by drumming to popular rock favorites with the goal for every student to perform live on stage in a band. Our Adult Program follows the same core philosophy as our drum lessons for kids. Our expert drum teachers guide students through a combination of private drum lessons for adults, band rehearsals, and live performances.
